Dr. Britton Frome is a board certified orthopedic surgeon. She specializes in hand and microvascular surgery, complex trauma to the upper extremity, and soft tissue reconstruction. She has practiced in Portland since 2005, and she is the immediate past president of the Oregon Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (OAOS).
Dr. Frome was recognized as one of Portland Monthly’s “Top Doctors” in 2018.
She is a member of the OAOS, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the Orthopaedic Trauma Association.
A native Oregonian, Dr. Frome finished her orthopedic surgery residency at Oregon Health & Science University in 2004. The following year she completed a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery in San Antonio, Texas. During medical school she had the honorable distinction of being named to the alpha omega alpha honor society.
Dr. Frome performs replantation surgery, as well as peripheral nerve surgery and nerve transfers. In addition to fixing all types of complex upper extremity fractures and dislocations, she also treats acute and chronic wound problems of the upper and lower extremity.
